Catina is a native of New York City. She completed her education at Columbia College and the University of South Carolina where she earned a Master of Social Work Degree in 2010. Her practice is dedicated to treating adolescents, young adults and adults affected by the disabling effects of mental health disorders. She uses a person-centered approach to address specific needs.  She completed licensure in North Carolina in 2013.  Her goal is for clients to feel comfortable and confident in their ability to form a therapeutic alliance with a trusted provider to guide in achieving peace of mind. She believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn mental self-care from a trained professional. She is passionate about teaching and guiding new social workers to achieve clinical licensure. She has been an approved supervisor since 2018 and presently practices here in the state of New Jersey.

What motivates me most is that I am able to provide a service I needed dearly as a child. Things have changed dramatically since then and now therapy is a common healthy practice for all. However, there are many who cannot afford this service which is why I accept Medicaid in addition to commercial insurance and private pay. I truly believe that back then if I had access to someone like me today, my life would have been better mentally and emotionally. I did the hard work and now my passion is to give high quality mental health care to everyday people. Especially those who may be culturally bound to their beliefs and are reluctant about psychotherapy.
